Two men have been charged with breaking into a Delhi home and attacking a dog. Police say the pair broke into the Main Street home over the weekend. Once inside, one of the men, 40 year-old Stacey Kalle, hit the resident dog with a weapon before taking off. The dog was not seriously hurt. Police later tracked down and arrested Kalle and 39 year-old Steven Wray, both of Norfolk. Kalle is charged with break and enter with intent, 2 counts of utter threats, possession of a weapon and injuring an animal. Wray is charged with break and enter with intent, 2 counts of utter threats and possession of a weapon.
UPDATE:
Yesterday in court, police said Kalle went to the victim's home, broke through the door and hit the dog with a pipe wrench, while telling the two residents he was going to kill them. Kalle says he went to the victim's house after receiving text messages from one of the victims saying he was going to punch him, but never entered the home or hit the dog. Kalle has 14 previous break and enter convictions. He'll be back in Simcoe courts on June 1st.
