One week into the distracted driving law coming into effect and it appears locals are getting the message. Norfolk OPP Constable Kari Lee says one person has been charged and another 3 have been warned during the first week. Lee believes people are getting the message that talking on their cell phones is distracting and they understand that there is now a penalty for it. Brantford Police on the other hand have laid 37 charges.
