If and when the next federal election is called, the local NDP association is ready! Over the weekend the party nominated Ian Nichols the represent the New Democrats in Haldimand and Norfolk. Nichols says his goal is to get NDP numbers back up in this riding. He says his focus at this point is to get out into the community to learn what voters want - after being pushed into a last minute election last year. Nichols adds in no way are they pushing for a 300 billion dollar election right now... but if called they want to see things done properly.

Since when does a federal election cost 300 billion dollars? If the NDP rep. actually thinks this is the cost, he's so woefully misinformed as to throw any credibility he has out the window. However, I suspect it's the "reporter" who made the mistake. Not that I am surprised, considering the woeful number of spelling and grammar mistakes that infest this site.

Either way, it's pathetic.
