Pause to thank farmers in Norfolk and beyond who produce some of the food we eat

Yesterday was Food Freedom Day–the day when the average Canadians will have earned enough income–to pay the entire year’s grocery bill.

The Canadian Federation of Agriculture says we enjoy one of the lowest-cost ‘food basket’s in the world.

As a comparsion, Food Freedom Day in Iceland is in late February and isn’t until early March in Mexico.

The CFA says the Day is a chance to celebrate what we eat and farmers–those in Norfolk County included–who produce our food.

Thanks Flatout, they are usually busy telling me that they don’t need farmers, would rather feed their kids toxic cheap food from China. ;o)

      1) Please cite the case of toxic food from China. Then compare that to the foods that have been produced in Canada and the US that have been recalled. Paranoid statement.

1b) Please provide a list of foods that are made in China.

      2) Are you insinuating that people that enjoy chinese foods are half-wits?

  3. brent says:

Still waiting on that list of toxic Chinese food Leasa…
