Birds are staying home for winter

More and more birds are hanging around Norfolk County this winter because of the mild weather.

A lot of the migratory birds have come back early and some never left.

Mostly it’s waterfowl like Canada Geese, ducks and even some Tundra Swans who have stuck around this year.

Biologist for Bird Studies Canada, Jody Allair says Long Point is a great place to go bird watching.

He adds a lot of the migratory birds could head south if we do get a sustained cold snap which is supposed to hit us in about 7 days.
