Phase Two…

50 Day Challenge

Well Ladies & Gents, just when I thought I was kind of getting used to going to the gym (after 7 long years –trust me that rust needs to really be scraped off), they’ve gone and made it harder. Just as I was beginning to get used to phase one.. Ah well, I guess that’s the name of the game, no pain, no gain.

In recognition of my ‘august presence’, Marcy has me doing LOTS of cardio. So much it seems in fact that I was pretty sure that yesterday the name of the game was “Let’s see if we can make Mike pass out”.

Now as far as cardio goes, I’m not as bad at it as one might think.. I am however really really bad at one particular flavour of cardio, the dreaded Stair Climber. I can cross train, I can bike, rowing?? no problem! But put me on that Stair Climber and every shred of dignity that I possess goes quickly out the window. I’m falling all over myself on this thing.

In a word: Disaster

I am a stair climbing disaster.

There I said it. I want to take that thing and in the words of Ralph Kramden: ”Bang, Zoom…” we’ll just leave it there.

I am feeling really alert these days, which is hopefully just the beginning of positive changes to come. It isn’t too late to join the challenge though, I’m over at Simcoe Health & Fitness 4 times a week, usually around 10:30 AM, if you’d like to join in!

    What a great show Sunday morning Michael. You hammered the cycle class!
    I am amazed at your gains in just 20 days. Way to go! See you Wednesday at 10:30. Next Sunday you’ll feel even stronger.
