Gary McHale says he’s not sure if he’ll be arrested again, when he and about 40 others march from the Lions Hall in Caledonia towards the Douglas Creek Estates this afternoon.
They were arrested for trespassing last December and during a recent protest, when McHale says they were standing on a County road.
McHale says the way he sees it, the OPP will not enter the property to even arrest crime suspects.

Gary needs to be put into jail ihe is not got anything to do with this case .plus he is only causing nothing but trouble every time he goes there doing this .plus the others have nothing to do with it either and if it was not for him starting all these marches the others would never do it on their own .like to know why no one that lives there in the town does not start anything like this ,oh i know why it is because they have better things to do then start up **** ,and they have better things then sticking their nosies into things . McHale is an opportunist who clearly fears peace because doesn’t have a life and has nothing else to do. When is the Attorney General going to declare him a vexatious litigator and lock him up for good. He loves stirring the pot so Caledonia goes down in flames, property values drop and then he can point the finger at the natives. He wags the dog by the tail and people need to wake up and get him banned for good. I notice on the CANLII legal website that he’s been assessed thousands in court costs because he keeps losing in the appeals courts (but he never mentions that eh?) Go to the website, search his name and read all the judgements against him !
This man is doing us good! He is the only one that is willing to put up a fight and show how this whole situation has been mishandled and continues to be mishandled. The police have done nothing to protect us and will continue do stand by and watch, unless we stand up for ourselves and put up a fight! GO GARY!

My brother does not live around here. When he was over, we drove by DCE, so I pulled over to show him the land that had come up in the news. I was approached by natives and asked why I was there etc. They were neither friendly nor polite and I was informed in no uncertain terms to move along. I was on Argyle street. I was not on the road into the DCE, nor even close to the entrance to this provincially (ie: our) owned land. Since I don’t appreciate being threatened nor pushed around in my own country by people who claim not to be part of Canada and burn our flag, I’m not going to slam Garry McHale.
Perhaps all his ideas were not the greatest, but at least he is willing to do something. He may have lost some appeals, but he did win many in court and he did prove that the cops were out of line in many instances. The situation in Caledonia is not over. Closing our eyes does not make it go away. The land is still unusable, yet fiananced by us. The house, hydro, water, heat is fiananced by us. It is still used as a safe haven for crimes. And, knowing uncle Dalton, he will allow the natives to live there long enough to invoke the squatters law, allowing them to own the land after 10 years of possession.
Gary McHale is a Canadian, and this is a Canadian issue. I don’t care if he lives in Binbrooke. We need more like him.
I go by that area all of the time and I NEVER see any natives waiting around to approach anyone who stops. Get real!
